Daytona ARCA Winner Gus Dean Heads to Talladega With New Partner

TALLADEGA, Ala.: Daytona ARCA Menards Series winner Gus Dean heads to Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway, site of Saturday’s General Tire 200 with a new partner aboard his No. 55 Toyota Camry for Venturini Motorsports.

Hardcore Fish and Game will serve as Dean’s primary marketing for the 76-lap race on April 20.

Founded in 2020, Hardcore Fish and Game is moisture-wicking, breathable, and American Cancer Society UPF50+ rated as a sun blocker.

Hardcore Fish and Game’s material is proven to keep you cool and dry quickly, provide flexibility and is anti-microbial.

Hardcore Fish and Game is dye-implemented, preserving the colors and graphic design over the life of the garment.

Hardcore Fish and Game is no stranger to the Motorsports community, but it will enjoy its first marketing partnership with Dean and the ARCA Menards Series.

In 2022, Hardcore Fish and Game partnered with Niece Motorsports and then driver Lawless Alan for a six-race partnership in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.

“I’m proud to represent Hardcore Fish and Game this weekend at Talladega,” said Dean. “I know their items continue to be immensely popular in the Motorsports community, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to not only bring them additional exposure but also contend for another Talladega ARCA victory.”

Hardcore Fish and Game founders Chuck and Morgan Efaw are thrilled to support Dean, a three-time ARCA Menards Series winner.

“Gus is a tremendous talent, and we are looking forward to him carrying the Hardcore Fish and Game colors this weekend at Talladega,” said Chuck Efaw. He definitely has a knack for superspeedway racing, and we believe he will have the opportunity to win his second ARCA race of the season on Saturday and give our products an additional boost in recognition.”

Dead invades the 2.66-mile superspeedway, looking for his second Talladega ARCA triumph in eight years. In just his second ARCA race in 2016, Dean delivered nearly a flawless performance and earned his first career ARCA victory driving for Mason Mitchell in a nail-biting finish with Xfinity Series driver Josh Williams.

“Talladega has always been a very special track to me,” added Dean. “It’s the site of my first career ARCA victory, and we’ve traditionally run very well since then. I’m looking forward to returning with the Venturini Motorsports team for my second race of the season and seeing how this race pans out.

“Hopefully, we can avoid any trouble on the race track and be in a position to put our No. 55 Hardcore Fish and Game in Victory Lane.”

Since 2016, Dean has 65 ARCA Menards Series starts to his credit, two poles, three wins, 21 top-five and 38 top-10 finishes.
