“This was a brand new car to the Venturini Motorsports fleet and we kept making gains with the car throughout the day. Because of a situation outside of our control, we were forced to start the race at the back of the field.
“We proved that was not a big deal as we quickly raced inside the top-10 and even battled inside the top five before some debris on the track ruined our splitter and completely changed the handling of our race car.
“We also had to pit for a flat tire in the closing laps of the race which added insult to injury. Proud of our worth ethic, just a disappointing finish. We’ll look to bounce back in our next race at Michigan in August.”
