Gus Dean Quote: “I am incredibly proud of this Venturini Motorsports team. They brought me a lightning-fast No. 25 Dean Custom Air | Folds of Honor Toyota Camry. We were able to pick up the pace considerably from practice and qualify on the outside pole.

“During the race, we were able to get control of the lead early before we faded back a little. Kevin (Reed) Jr. did a great job with the adjustments and we were able to rocket back to the lead.

“For the second consecutive race, the No. 18 just didn’t have any situational awareness and really took away our chance to win the race. It was hard contact with the wall after he rammed into us while battling for the lead.

“I told him after the race that I’m not going to put up with those shenanigans anymore and if he does it again, the outcome won’t be pretty. My Venturini Motorsports team works too hard on bringing race-winning equipment to the track for someone without any reasoning just decides to take you out – twice.

“We’ll move on, refocus, and look forward to the opportunity to challenge for the win at The Milwaukee Mile in a couple of weeks.”
